Unknown Caller

harajukumatt.deviantart.comIt was 2 a.m. Story had been falling in the deep sleep while immediately the phone rang. She opened her eyes. She didn’t like to answer a call in the midnight. It usually brought a bad news: some body was serius ill or died. She picked up the phone slowly. She wanted to hear the caller’s voice first.
“Hello. Hello.”
It’s a man voice. She was very sleepy to recognize that voice. Story didn’t know who he was.
“Hello. Hello,” said the caller.
“Hello,” Story answered.
“Hello, good evening, Madam.”
“Good evening. Who’s speaking?”
“I’m a police officer.”
“Police? What happened?”
“Your son is in the police station now.”
“What?”
“Your son was involved in an ecstacy party. We found he had a lot of ecstasy.”
“What do you mean, Sir?”
“It’s his voice. Just listen.”
There’s someone crying voice on the phone. Story was so sleepy and didn’t understand what happened.
“What do you mean by that, Sir?”
“Your son was under arrest. If you want him to be free, I can help you.”
“I’m sure you got wrong number, Sir.”
“I got your number from your son. Just follow my instruction. Now, you go to the ATM. Don’t hang up the phone. I’ll guide you.”
“Are you really a policeman? Policeman should keep the public, right? ATM?”
“Yes, of course. Of course I’ll help your son if you want your son get free without investigation procedure.”
“Get him to the jail!”
“Don’t you love your son? I can avoid him from the jail. Be cooperative, please.”
“I don’t care what you say! You want to get him to the jail or you want to kill him is up to you! But it would be better if you yourself go to the jail, Liar! I DON’T HAVE A SON!”
Story slammed down the phone.
